Fix Windows 10/11 Bluetooth Not Available [Resolved] 2021



Sometimes it happens in Windows 10 and Windows 11 programs, that you can't find your Bluetooth settings anywhere in the settings or control panel.


Bluetooth is an excellent wireless tool for a file transfer option for all devices and connected devices such as speakers. 


Many users have faced this problem so we have found these methods that will help you reset your Bluetooth settings.


Step 1 - Restart Bluetooth services 

Bluetooth services are applications that ensure that Bluetooth functions on any device properly or not. Sometimes Bluetooth does not work because Bluetooth services are disabled. Manually restarting resources can easily solve this problem. Follow these steps to restart Bluetooth services.


Step 1] Press Windows and R at the same time, type service.msc and press Enter. It will open Windows applications.





Step 2] Find the Bluetooth support services in the list of services and select the restart option by right-clicking on it.





Step 3] After restarting, double-click on it to open service properties. Set Default to the startup type and click OK.





Step 4] Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all Bluetooth-related services you can get listed as a Bluetooth audio gateway service and Bluetooth user support service.


Open Device Settings and check whether the Bluetooth settings appear again.


Method 2 - Disable and Turn On Bluetooth Device

 

Sometimes simple methods such as disabling and enabling devices also work for most users. 


Follow this procedure to disable and turn on the Bluetooth device.


Step 1] Search Device Manager in the Windows search box.


Step 2] Now, Click Device Manager from the search result.





Step 3] Now, double-click on Bluetooth to expand the list and find your primary Bluetooth device.


Select a Bluetooth device, right-click on it, and select Disable device option.





Step 4] Click Yes to confirm Disable.





Step 5] After some time, right-click on the Bluetooth device again and select Enable device option.





Close Device Manager Windows and check the Bluetooth settings in Settings.


Method 3 - Reinstall the Bluetooth Device

If none of the above methods work for you then your device drivers may be faulty or damaged and you must reinstall them to repair them.



Step 1] Search Device Manager in Windows Search and click Device Manager to open Device Manager.





Step 2] Locate the Bluetooth device, right-click on it and select Uninstall Device option.





Step 3] Click Uninstall to confirm.





After the uninstall process is complete restart your PC. It will also automatically install the default driver and most likely Bluetooth settings will appear.


If you are still experiencing a problem then the drivers for your Bluetooth device may be old and need to be updated. 


To update it you must download the installer from the PC manufacturer's website and install it according to the installation instructions.


Method 4 - Show hidden devices

Step 1] Search Device Manager in Windows Search and click Device Manager to open Device Manager.





Step 2 - Now, click View and then click Show hidden devices.





Method 5 - Buy an external USB Bluetooth stick

If all else fails, you can purchase an external USB stick from Amazon and attach it to your USB port and everything will be in place. 


This applies when the whole repair process fails and there is a strong chance that your Bluetooth adapter will be damaged.




Method 6 - Update the BIOS

Some users have reported that updating their BIOS to the latest version solved this problem via Bluetooth. 


So just google your BIOS and laptop manufacturer name and download and install and update the BIOS.


Method 7 - Check Bluetooth devices and drivers in Device Manager

If Bluetooth settings are not shown in the settings it is caused by an error in the device drivers or the absence of device drivers. 


You can check in Device Manager whether the devices are working properly or not.


Step 1] Search Device Manager in Windows Search and click Device Manager to open Device Manager.





Step 2] Extend Bluetooth and check that there is at least one device available. Double-click to open properties and make sure it's in working condition.


Step 3] Under Network Adapter checks the Bluetooth adapter. If there is a double click on it and check that it is in working condition.
